Make your site easy to read for the Google Search
Making your website discoverable for Google and also gaining a good position in search results is important for any organization. There’s a lot to think about. Other sites need to find your site valuable, on social media they need to talk about your (site), Google needs to understand what’s on your site, you need to make sure you’re locally visible, etcetera, etc. There are thousands of companies and thousands of specialists who say they know exactly what to do. The joke is that no one knows exactly. Google decides, Google is the boss on the Internet. Like it or not. If Google doesn’t show your site in search results, you simply have fewer visitors. Sometimes I wonder if Google itself still knows what they’re basing the search results on. The fact is that Google is putting more and more ads on the search results pages. That is, among other things, what they make their money from.
In any case, what we all know for sure is that you need to make sure that Google indexing knows and understands what’s on your site. What you’re talking about, what you’re delivering, what you want to tell. Only then can they show your site in the results if someone searches for the information you provide.
Tips to get your web page indexed by Google

The sooner your main keyword appears, the higher the importancy according to Google. Always make sure your text is readable by a normal person. In the end, you write for the reader and not for Google. The best solution is to write your text first and then adapt it to SEO.
Place your keyword in your URL
Make sure the most important word your customers use to search in Google is in the URL of the page you’re optimizing. Make sure you don’t make your url too long. Example for an important keyword for Ambasco: www.ambasco.nl/webdesign
Place the word you want to be found in the title tag.
The title tag is the first that Google sees. The title tag is what you see in the browser in the tab. Hover over the tab with your mouse and you’ll see the title tag by itself. Example: web design is one of Ambasco’s services.
Make sure your keyword is in the meta description
The meta description is the short text you see in the Google results. Your main keyword should be in here. Preferably the first word. Keep Google in mind, but make sure you write this text for the reader. They are the ones you need to convince to click!
Keyword is in your H1 header
Use only ONE H1 header on your page. This is of course at the top of the page as much as possible. Just like in a book. The main keyword should be in this headline. Think of it as a word document in which you have a chapter with multiple paragraphs in that chapter. The title of your chapter is the most important thing. That’s what the chapter is about. It’s confusing when you have multiple chapter titles in a chapter. Your content manager (eg wordpress) helps you determine what an H1, H2, H3 is.
Keyword is in the first sentence or first paragraph of your text
Avoid placing the keyword too often, but make sure that the keyword occurs at least once at the beginning of your first sentence or first paragraph
Keyword in other intermediate headers
It’s good to put the keyword in your other headlines a few more times. In your H2 and H3 head lines. Divide it well and use alternatives if necessary.
Use synonyms of your keyword
Use synonyms of your keyword and divide it between your text. For Webdesign we could use e.g. Design website. Google is smart enough to recognize that.
Avoid keyword spamming
You write your text for the reader. To convince the reader. If you mention your keyword 100x in it, it will be illegible. Google looks at it the same way. Too much is too much and is ‘penalized’ with a lower position!
